Just when we were getting all comfortable with summer trends, the monsoon trends are here already! We saw Spring summer 2015 with so much of floral prints, Palazzos, bright colors. We all we will be in a dilemma about what to wear in monsoon with rains, muddy road, mucky feet. Here are few quick solutions that will save you from dampening your style and help look fashionable even in the rains. You might already have some of these in your wardrobe, so you can be monsoon-ready in a jiffy with these fun pieces.
Wear light fabrics:Go for something lighter and airy. Chiffons and georgettes will be life saviours in the rain. They’ll dry in minutes unlike wearing a pair of heavy denims and spending hours trying to dry it and catching a cold instead. Also wear beige and browns to hide the splash of muds.
Culottes/Shorts:Culottes is a very fancy term in the fashion world, these pants are a mixture of palazzo’s and cropped pants! Spreading comfort and style these pants are a complete monsoon calling! Pair them with a cropped top or a boyfriend shirt, add comfy sandals and you are dressed for the day!
And a shorts with t-shirt and bellies can never go wrong.
Flats/Bellies: Make monsoon fun with colourful rubber sandals and ballerinas that don’t spoil in the rain. Or you can even choose boots but be sure on how you style them. You can now splash around in those puddles with not a care in the world!
Waterproof Makeup: Go minimal on make-up during the rainy season! Stick to waterproof eyeliners and mascaras and highlight those brown eyes with peacock-inspired blues and greens as you dance in the rain. Take care of your skin by making some easy homemade packs. Even better! Go for a deep cleansing and moisturizing spa
Scarf: Save your hair from the rain as you run to the coffee shop without an umbrella, or use it to conceal when your shirt has become a little too transparent. The uses of a scarf during the monsoon or any other season are endless. Bold colours, cool prints and interesting patterns are an added plus.
Umbrellas: Bring on those colorful umbrellas to brighten up the gloomy days. Or you can even try to make a DIY by sticking big stars or polka dots on your plain umbrella and make a style statement. Transparent umbrellas in neon colors are surely a great pick too.
Also you can go for waterproof phone cases in funky prints and colors! I personally love customizing the phone case which defines me.
